just as "they" please anyway. This response always disgusts me. For several reasons, but I'll try and keep it brief and focused.
If you view politics in the same light read on for it is you I am speaking to. Firstly, yes it is true that we are governed by what may very well be the most corrupt group of folks that could possibly ever have been assembled. There are a handful of good ones but not enough to restore faith to those that have lost theirs in our system. It is not the system that has gone bad on us though, the operators of the system have. Plain and simple. Your best interest is not their concern. Their agendas are guided by their love of money and greed and most of all power.
Here is the catch. "They " are you and "They" are me. There is no getting around this fact. Every policy, law, act, intent, declaration, transaction ,usurpation, indoctrination, indignation, escalation and the otherwise wrecking of the nation is in reality you and me. But laying it on "They" somehow separates (in our minds) us from the responsibility that is ours and ours alone.
The freedom that we as a nation have always cherished is quickly being dissolved right before our eyes. If the majority of a population don't actively and diligently work towards the preservation of its liberties, then those of us that do are the minority. The mindset of freedom is slipping into the minority position.
There is strength in numbers. Get involved. Get active! Educate yourself on how our government works. Look, it isn't very complicated. Just look at the dumb asses running the show now. Don't get caught up in the right\left division of it all. Vote for substance no matter who is championing that cause. Don't hate your neighbor for their differing view. Just make sure that you and he are allowed to have differing views and are not put in a position of having to swallow the only view forced on you. Remember "They" are us. I am not happy with us. Are you?
